Hey there ^^
My name is Mick Dankerlui, and right now you’re looking at my portfolio. I’m a graduate(d!) student of UX Design in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. I enjoy cooking, gaming, drawing, reading , making and listening to music.

ABN AMRO

Visual Report

A visual report based on my research into the ABN Amro brand. Including analyses of visual identity, brand values, and touch points made visual through storyboards, customer journeys, and brand models. Additionally, I have made an assessment of the opportunities to expand ABN’s brand and have developed a concept to achieve this.

CHOY LESSONS

Advertisement Poster

A bus advertisement poster commissioned by my keyboard teacher with the goal of bringing in more students for his music lessons. I have left the focus of the advertisement on the photographs of his students enjoying music and only provided the necessary contact information below.

BUDDIES

Character Illustrations

These illustrations are part of a project to improve happiness in the neighborhoods of southern Rotterdam. The projects makes use of augmented reality and gives children a digital playmate that brings them on a journey through their neighborhood and guides their attention to what’s out in the physical world around them. The characters are designed to look friendly and naturally appealing to children. Although there is a standard model, these characters are customizable so that the child can identify with their digital companion.

Business Cards

Every designer needs a good business cards, these are mine. They are printed with my own personal logo. I have experimented with a number of different designs before coming up with this particular one. This design has a distinct red color, as not to appear too corporate.

Game of Thrones

Low Polygon Portrait

While experimenting with Adobe’s Photoshop I have made a good amount of experiments. This is one I am particularly proud of, it is a low polygon style edit of the Game of Thrones promotional material. I’m a fan of this style of Illustration for its simplicity in shapes and colors.
